These Terms of Use govern Starlocus (the App). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
The App helps you discover stargazing spots, review astronomical conditions, create observing plans, set reminders, and keep a personal record of visits.
2. Safety
Confirm weather, road access, opening hours, local rules, and on-site safety before traveling. Do not use the App for emergencies or safety-critical navigation. Follow local signs, laws, facility instructions, and actual conditions.
3. Information Accuracy
Astronomical calculations, spot details, distances, destination information, and external links may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Visibility also depends on weather, light pollution, terrain, equipment, and other conditions.
4. Premium Purchases
The App offers monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. The price and terms shown on Apple's purchase confirmation screen control. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled through Apple at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Purchases can be restored in the App. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
5. User Responsibility
You are responsible for deciding whether and how to travel, for protecting your device and records, and for keeping any exported backup files in a safe location.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You may not violate laws, misuse, alter, copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the App, interfere with its operation, or infringe the rights of others.
7. Intellectual Property
Rights in the App's original design, text, software, and other content belong to the developer or applicable rights holders. You receive a personal, non-commercial license to use the App.
8. Changes and Availability
Features may be changed or suspended due to maintenance, failures, service changes, or legal requirements. Material changes to these Terms will be announced in the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Disclaimer
The App is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for losses caused by use or inability to use the App, inaccurate information, travel decisions, data loss, communication failures, or unavailable external services.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of Japan.
