This Privacy Policy explains how PurineCare (hereinafter "the App") handles personal information.
The App collects and uses the following information.
Meal data entered by the user (food name, portion size, purine content, calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates) and water intake records. This data is stored in the on-device database and is not transmitted to external servers.
Photos of meals taken or selected when using the AI meal recognition feature. Photo data is sent to Google Gemini API provided by Google LLC for image analysis. Transmitted image data is not stored on the App's servers.
The AI advice feature sends recorded meal data (food name, portion size in grams, purine content, water intake) to Google Gemini API to generate dietary improvement advice.
When the user grants sync permission, the App reads and writes water intake and nutrition data (calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates) with Apple Health.
Collected information is used for the following purposes.
The App uses the following third-party service.
Other than the above, the App does not provide users' personal information to third parties.
When using AI features (meal recognition and advice), consent for data transmission is requested upon first use. If you do not consent, AI features will be unavailable; however, all other basic features (manual meal recording, statistics, water management, etc.) remain fully available.
All meal records and settings data are stored locally on the user's device. No account registration is required, and the App does not store data on its own servers.
Uninstalling the App will delete all local data.
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13.
This policy may be changed without prior notice. Users will be notified within the App of any significant changes.
